McCain to gun factory workers: I will shoot Bin Laden with your guns

Ah... Good ol' John McCain. It seems like any "news" about him is always about something he said, and has to apologize under the that's-not-how-it-was-meant-to-be-interpreted-but-it-actually-is-exactly-how-it-sounds rule. Here he is talking to gun factory workers:

[A]s commander-in-chief, he would follow the terrorist mastermind "to the gates of hell and I'll shoot him with one of your products."

The crowd, gathered in an inventory warehouse off the side of Route 11, burst into frenzied whistling and applause, but the Arizona senator quickly sought to temper his comments by saying he would bring the man behind the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks "to justice."

Speaking with reporters, McCain stressed "he certainly wouldn't shoot" bin Laden.

"I'm certainly angry at him, but ... it's only speaking in a way that was trying to emphasize my point," he said. "I certainly — really, I mean it — would do everything in my power and I believe as president I could track the guy down and bring him to justice."
